A Bullying Program that should be mandatory for every school in Pennsylvania

This is an investment that would pay huge dividends for PA school children. Please visit the link below.

Bullying is the #1 concern I hear about as a parent group facilitator. This would allow kids to have safety in their school once again.

http://www.sprigeo.com/abc_news_bullying.asp

If you agree, I invite you to join me in writing and calling our State Reps, Governor and all school district Superintendents. Take this information to your School Board meeting. Be heard and Stand for the Silent.

DCNR camp helps high school students explore outdoor careers

ELLWOOD CITY, March 16 – High school students interested in learning about conservation and careers in natural resource may want to participate in Exploring Careers Outdoors (ECO) Camp, sponsored by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources., state Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D- Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, said today.

ECO Camp is a free, weeklong residential camp for students to experience hands-on activities learning about our land, water, forests and wildlife at state parks and forests.

"This is a great opportunity for high school students who are considering a career working outdoors or if they want to learn more about nature," Gibbons said. "Students get to enjoy camping, fishing and kayaking while they learn."

ECO Camp is located at Kirby House near the Nescopeck State Park about ten miles south of Wilkes-Barre. The highlight of the week is an overnight camping trip.

Students must submit an application and an essay about their interest in the outdoors. To be eligible for ECO Camp students must be Pennsylvania residents in 10th through 12th and have a minimum of a "C" average.

Gibbons said applications are available at his Ellwood City constituent service office and must be submitted to DCNR by April 1.
